Unhappy 40 amp IG sw fuse touble

Hi all,

I am running into some trouble where my IG sw fuse on my 96 XL with 92k miles keeps blowing-causing no power windows,no ac, none working tach but car runs. The car does have a remote start installed and worked flawlessly for almost a year. The fuse would burn even right after I put in a new one. So today, I disconnected the battery and checked all other fuses (good) and decided to turn off the remote start before putting in another fuse. car started fine, then I turned the remote start on and it tested out fine. after struggling for a few minutes with the kick panels while reinstalling everything, the fuse was burnt once again.

Does anyone have any insight on whats happening? The wires to the remote starter checked out fine, so could a bad alternator/battery cause the problem? I will try to put in another fuse with the remote starter off, and if that doesnt work, then back to best buy it goes.

no one? Disconnected the remote starter but it still blew. The car only starts, can not be put into gear or anything

sounds like something with the remote starter is still connected not allowing the car to be put into gear and blowing the fuse.
