Bleeding ABS System

Last week I had the two rear brake lines replaced, the run that goes underneath the driver and rear passenger seat area. Got vehicle back from garage and of course brakes were spongy.

Bled all brake lines until fluid clean, so far so good.

Does anyone know of a way of triggering the ABS system so that the fluid in the chambers can be flushed during a second brake bleed operation. Any way to trigger besides slamming on brakes to activate ABS or knowing someone with an expensive scanner.

thanks in advance

he77, remove 1 of the sensors from a wheel... 1 bolt and out they come

but this is not necessary for good brakes...

Why not just disconnect the wire connector up under the wheelwell, I would assume that it creates the same error as a short. So you are implying that an ABS error in the ECU will disable the ABS in the open position and fluid will travel freely through the system?

implying is the word. one might ASSUME that a system which shows a fault would be disabled... am i certain? no.

removing the sensor will not create a short. it will signal to the computer that the affected wheel is not turning - is locked up.

i have had no trouble from the abs when bleeding brakes. i have had to use the "up/down" method, as opposed to the "pump it up" method, in order to get the brakes to bleed. hope this helps.
