Sheepskin Seat Covers

The leather front seats on my '96 Avy XLS are cracked and dried out. Short of having the leather redone ($$$$) I'd like to get some reasonably-priced sheepskin seat covers, which we can take with us when it's time to sell the car. The split-bench seats are quite wide, so I'm kind of concerned about fitment.

I see Costco sells sheepskins for ~$70 each but theirs don't cover the entire seat...only the seating surface. That wouldn't be a problem if they fit well.

Brookstone also sells some for slightly more, that cover the entire seat. They get fairly high reviews:

I'm sure there are many more out there. Has anybody purchased a set that fit the Avy seats well and that they're happy with?

American Pie, this is somewhat related to your post. I recently purchased some leather conditioner for my work boots. It's made by Obenauf's. It completely restored the leather and made it soft and pliable again. They have leather conditioners and leather oils.

I'm not sure what the condition of your seats are and if they are too far gone or not, but for a few bucks, it might be worth a try and may save your seats.

You can find this stuff directly from their website, or I got mine from Cabelas.

Thanks fourwheeler but they're a little too far gone for any conditioner to help. They're cracked and worn through in a few spots. Might help the back seat though, which is dry but not completely shot. I usually use Lexol but maybe I'll try your suggestion.

I 'd also be open to suggestions about ANY fairly inexpensive seat covers that might work...not necessarily sheepskins. I'm finding that most seat covers are for individual "bucket" type seats and not for the wider "split bench" seats like in the Avy.
