no display on clock and outside temp -95 avy xls-

Ok so I get no display on clock or outside temp, but I do see the cruise control light and cruise works?

Is there a specific fuse for just those two that I am missing or is there something else. All other dash light are ok and visible.

I think one of the fuses in the fuse block under the hood controls the clock and outside temp display. Also, make sure you have a bulb in the trunk light. I know it sounds weird but I replaced mine and left it out for a few days, it also lost the clock and outside temp display. I would check both.

even though poor, i felt like spending some mullah (bout 110) at about 5 hours of junkyard shopping so... (4 hours spent on a dash for my wife's 98 Concorde) i bought a display for temp/clock, as I read in a post found here, later (in the junkyard parking lot ...go htc evo), that there is no fuse....

Hopefully tomorrow problem will be solved someway, also got a new wired mirror (with dimming i guess, as my stock xls one, no wires, had developed some dark signs on the center glass)

Lightbulb No temp?

Did only the XLS have the outside temp light? My 96 XL does not show one.

without paying attention I bought an xl clock and when i got home I saw.....just clock display no security light or outside temp......so...

I went to another junkyard found an xls an swapped it out....so POST CLOSED.....it works...so if no display.....blame the clock/temp Display....

yup, unfortunately it is only an xls option...(now on a side note you could try to get the actual clock display from a junkyard ...usually a 10-15 dollar part...for the xls and see if it displays....the plug is the same...i do not know however if the XL and XLS have the same bcm ....if they do ...then you could get it to display temp and security light by just swapping it out. Also some junkyards have warranty so you can always take it back.
