Dome Light

Can anyone tell me the proper light size and requirements for the overhead dome light in a 95 Avalon. I have to replace mine almost every year it seems. I wonder if I don't have the wrong one installed to begin with and hae been perpetuating my miseries. The one I just pulled out the end cap has fallen off one end. It is a Sylvania DE3175 LL BP 20 Long Life Auxiliary lamp. I see there is an LED lamp replacement for the one above. Is the one I have been using correct and will the LED be a better choice for replacement?
Thanks

it's quite common for the end cap to fall off. this does not indicate a problem with your car. just poor manufacturing processes. i don't know about the led. maybe you can tell us, if you get one?

That's the correct bulb. You'll have to compare lumens to determine light output between the bulbs.

unlike other parts in the avy, that whole housing is cheaply made, mine acted up a couple of times to where it would come on just sometimes.....screwed it in tighter and now bulb does not burn out (well it hasn't for more than a year) and works properly.....before it would come on and off when used sometimes and maybe....that burned the bulb....????
