Replaced PS Pump, now leaking from hoses

I've replaced the Power Steering pump and everything seems to be in order aside from the hoses leaking. I've used a new pump and kept all the existing hoses and connectors.

The new pump came with 2 o-rings, one larger than the other. Only one seems to fit any of the connections. There was a power steering leak which caused my old pump to seize, necessitating this replacement.

Can someone tell me which rings and seals should be replaced? The guides I've seen aren't specific about this, nor were the directions which accompanied the pump. The pump also came with 2 copper washers but gave no suggestion as to where they are meant to go.

Are these seals and o-rings things I can find a local parts shop or must they be ordered online?

Cheers.

Unless he reads this on his own and responds shortly, I recommend that you PM TN user toyopartsman, and ask him to respond to this post. That's Gary Smith, who's a parts manager at a Toy dealer. Great guy, really helpful.

I've found some diagrams but none of them seem to match my pump exactly, even the one that came with the pump itself so I'm a bit confused as to what goes where.

I didn't replace the crush washers on the pressure port union so that was probably one of the sources of the leak. I've now got a new pair to install. Still need to workout the size of the o-ring for the inlet tube because there's not one at all. That may've been the source of the leak in the first place perhaps.

However, my biggest concern at the moment is in regard to the 'inverted flare union seat'. The pump's directions say to take the union seat from the previous pump and use it in the new one. It says it should simply fall out when removing the high pressure line from the union bolt. I don't recall seeing this at all and I certainly haven't got one now.

Is it crucial or do some models not have it? It wouldn't be the source of a leak, would it?

All of the diagrams also show external air control valves or oil pressure switches (often attached to the union bolt), but the original pump nor the replacement pump have this. As my pump constantly deviates from these diagrams, I can't possibly tell what must be present and what is optional.

Any advice would be incredibly helpful.

Cheers.

Do you have the correct pump for your car/engine type?

I believe so. I bought it at PepBoys who looked up the part number in their database. I had brought my old pump in as well to conduct a visual inspection. Once installed, aside from a persistent and slow dripping leak, it worked wonderfully.

The general shape matches most of the diagrams, photos, and videos I've seen online. The discrepancies seem to arise with the hose connections.
