Red face anti freeze leak under catty veter

Hi Friends at Toyota Nation

First I wish you all a very wonderful new year in peace an truth!!

Now for the problem I noticed my 96 ava was losing fluid right after I had changed the oil. I was calm about it till I seen more larger puds.

Then I seen my temp gage was moving a bit above normal.
I seen more pud. I now know the anti freeze is leaking directly under the cattty and runs down the front of the transmission/transaxle and a bit further under the exhaust pipe.

I did get a massive moisture build up on windsheild when running defroster
today so my guess is the heater core is bad? No wetness on floor my side or passys I also seen on another forum that the rear heater lines may be leaking?

okay friends and awesome tech dudes please help this lil gal out pretty please

The 96 IS ALIVE!! Yeas she saved herself by doing the following...
she let a bit of steam off the front left side engine as early fall began.
I had noticed a hot smell but never thought about it as temp gage read normal.
Then just last week after changing the oil I noticed a huge amount of fluid.

I thought oh no the rear main...BUT no oil loss. The car she knows how much I care about her!! A second 900.00 rack after just paying 500.00 the year b4...
soo...she started to make this water swishing gurgling noise.

I heard it and I was so freaked out I thought I had a blown head gasket!!
NOPE...it was a cry for more anti freeze and water please and thas just what I did!!

NO WATER LEAK.....this car is the most special hunk of black metal...

It is just amazing...but shhhh it was her and mines secret Happy New Year friends

From what you've described, it sounds like a leaking heater core. With coolant going out the A/C condensate drain. I'd pressure test the system...I believe some of the chains lend the equipment.

Well friends the water leak is on the back side of the motor. The rear cooling lines and I am wondering if bars leak may fill the slight leak? I seen the water its not from the evap drain. Its on the direct back dside of motor I know it must be taken in as I have no way to hoist the car up to properly fix this anyone else with advice say on...

Good luck. I hope you go to one of the few dealers who don't look to hook a shop vac to your wallet.
