Gen1 96 Avalon Snow coming through A/C

Hey,

When it has snowed and I turn on my car even if I have the vents to the feet it still sucks up snow and sprays it around the cabin. I know The 96 avalons dont have a cabin filter but its kind of ridiculous how much snow gets inside. Its very annoying because once I start driving the snow melts which causes the windows to fog then as soon as I leave the car it freezes. Is there something broken or missing besides the cabin filter? Or is there another make shift way to put in a filter because this is driving me crazy!

it's called brushing your car off before cranking the heater.

Right, some snow will get into the intake and can't be brushed out. Wait for the heater core to warm up before turning the fan on. Then, the snow will melt on the core, rather than being blown through it.
