Transmission-Transaxle Fluid change

This topic has been discussed before, but the previous posts didn't have a clear answer for me. I changed the transmission fluid and was ready to to drain the transaxle, but could not find the filler bolt. The Haynes manual shows clearly where the filler bolt should be located. On my 98 Avalon tranasxle, the supposed filler location is not threaded and is cast solid with the casing. Did Toyota make changes to the transmission and transaxle so the share the same transmission fluid, so that you only have to fill through the dipstick tube? I don't want to open the transaxle drain plug until I know exactly where to fill it back up.

Cool

I've always filled through the dipstick.
