Moon roof, 6-disc changer, it has leather but I think that comes with the Touring...it had everything I wanted. I'm 6'5'', so I just wanted a car I could fit in.

My aunt just picked up a '98 with 110k miles for $5995. It's one of the base base models with no power seats and steel wheels, but it does have the CD player, traction control and strangely, the gold emblem package and 'wood'. It was origionally listed for $6500, but they knocked it down when they heard that my dad knew the owner of the dealer.

Sweet.... sounds like my car. I have 118k with no power or steel wheels, altho mine also came with the 3cd in dash. I wish mine had traction control...

We paid $31,000 for our XLS sans navigation/premium audio/cooled seats/HID....basically $31k for an Avy XLS with the only included option being the Traction Control system. Added an aftermarket OEM style spoiler/lip for 195 painted and installed.

Also we got $8k on our trade-in car that was not worth more than $6,200 on kbb.

We are looking at a 1998 Avalon XLS I believe, it has the heated leather seats, moon roof, etc. It is the original owner. It has 105K. They are asking $7950 but I was going to try and see if they will take $7000 even. After reading some of these posts, it sounds a little high even at $7000. What do you guys think?

Just got a used 2005 avalon xl with 7800 miles yesterday. $21,900 from a private party plus I'll have to pay tax 7% about $1550 when I take the title down to the dmv to get the car registered registration usually costs around $50. 6 disc changer and floor mats were the only options. Car is in excellent condition.
