Revisiting the question..how close in dimension is the early LS400 vs. Gen 1 Avalon??

I found several nice kits for the LS400.....so,

I wanted to find out how close in dimensions & shape the body panels (Specifically Front bumper & rear bumper) are for the early model (Generation 1) Toyota Avalons are with the Early model year LS400's ????

there are some body ground effects kits available for the LS400 and I want to find out if they are close enough to make fit the Avalon????

Thanks

MBD

I don't see any replies and that makes me sad.
I've been searching the forum for a while now and it seems like the mass consensus is that a: most people who buy the car are happy with it stock
b: MANY owners of this car are in the later age range.
My 95 Avalon was given to me by my father, who received it from his father.
So yes, they were both happy with it stock, and were both far older for me.
I'm 19, and the type of guy that believes no matter the task, so long as you have time and money at your disposal, anything can be done, ground effects on a 95 avalon included.
I'm looking at that LS400 and it seems to me it has the CLOSEST body to the Avalon.
I talked to a few people and they recommended Camry parts, but honestly, that LS400 looks really close.
I'm planning on a new job within the next week, so as soon as the paychecks start stacking up, I'm going to order this kit: http://www.yourhotcar.com/prod/JP/Bo...ece_kit/13171/
If I have to completely custom install it with a grinder and welding equipment, I'll do that.
Buying a new car just because I want to put a body kit on it is a little too extreme.
So I'm going to try this.

I'm thinking you're going to have a hard time adapting that body kit. The LS400 might look close enough, but small things can make it really hard to adapt. I think the LS400 is slightly wider overall, which would be the biggest pain.

Avalon is a slighty longer Camry, so that works out kinda.
Avalon and ES300 are almost identical I believe.

EDIT: Nice ES300 kit http://www.benlevy.com/4images/img3711.htm

I would love a Body kit on my 95 avy but i dont think its gonna happen. Hopefully someone will try to find a ES300 body kit to try it on their car so we can know if it works or not

You live in California!!! There are plenty of customizing shops in California. I mean, if you're able to spend a little money, you should have no problem getting an ES300 or Camry kit fitted. I know it can be done with those as I have seen some pictures of one with a Camry one. If you got some real cash, there's also places that should be able to make a custom body kit. In the Chicago area, though, there's barely any performance shops or body shops that will do body kits (reputable ones). Winter is killer for these cars, so not many around.

Yeah in Chicago 90% of cars with body kits have horribly chipped paint or chipping/missed pieces cause it got to cold for the plastic and they hit a curb. It's sad really.

camry/solara/es should be easiest (the avy is basically an elongated camry like the solara)
