There's two reason for your speakers not functioning: either your facotry amp is not working, or the wiring harness you got for the car is wrong, cars that have factory amps usually use a different harness from cars that don't.

You have two choices, you can go and ask if they made an aftermarket harness for your model car with a factory amp, or you can wire the speakers directly off the deck.

I remember we worked on a 1991 Lincolin Mark IIV and we had to use an extra special harness in the back to activate the amplifier.

Now don't forget these are just guesses, I don't know if your car does or does not have a factory amp.
