Avalon Intake Q, Flipside help?

Hey,
I got an intake for my Avalon, 99'. It fit fine just I think the MAS is confused. The check engine light comes on, turns off when it's really cold. And when I squeal the tires with trac off, it turns on and stays on, even if I try to turn that ish off. I tried resetting the ECU, changed the oil, checked the filter to see if it was dirty, but nothing helped. Flipside you have an Avalon, and you got an intake for it too, did you have problems like this? Is it cause the filter lets in too much air for the ECU to understand? Should I go and buy a K&N cone filter? When in safety mode, it feels slower, but it feels smoother accelerating. I dont like it. Help?

Make a heat shield to black the hot engine air from going into the intake. Also disconnect your battery for 15 mins to reset the ecu.

theres no such thing as too much air. you may have damaged your sensor when you installed it... or forgot to fit every host back... did your intake adaptor plate have a square opening?

Wow this thread is old. 3 years old!

If the light comes back on, that CEL it's throwing up is definitely emissions system related. Most likely your EGR Valve Modulator is probably bad. You should have the code read and checked out.
