Lexus LS 430 HID retrofit on Avalon???

Doe anyone know if the Lexus LS 430 HID projector will fit inside the headlight assembly of a 2001 Toyota Avalon? I want to do a retrofit on the Avalon and want to use the best projector I can find. The LS 430 are the best ones on the market, but will they fit in my car?

I have a 2001 Avalon too, and was wondering what front clip will work for a Lexus? I was told a GS300, is this correct????

Measure your headlight dimensions and then go to the hidplanet forum and check the measurements to see if it will fit. Sorry I dont have that information.

im the only one on this earth with a full retro on a second gen avalon.. hehehe

LS430 lamps may not fit bc the height of the projector exceeds the height of the oem headlamp. the reflector bowl on the ls430 makes it too long

^ I'm pretty sure that the 430 won't fit in the Camry, so similarly I'm skeptical that it'd fit in the Avalon.

very unlikely able to fit! had some LS430s before, settled for S2000's instead. Avalons were the hardest retrofit i've worked on. with no clearance in the back and steep lenses on the front. Sitting a projector too far back in the housing will make u will lose foreground lighting. Sitting the projector too far up without a proper shroud will expose your handywork =)

just buy a set of 9006 hid lights and put them in. they fit perfectly and the ballist wires right up. i did mine with 6000 degree bulbs for a nice light blue. you can find those for under $200 and not mess with any retro fit problems.

HIDs go in projectors for reasons, optic reasons. If you put a HID light in a housing designed for halogen bulbs you're going to blind everyone on the road, and the light diffusion is going to be all messed up.

True 99% of the time. I had a Porsche Boxster and the forum had a retrofit for HID's. One member found the proper HID bulb whose gas pod lined up the exact same distance from the reflector as the filament on the standard halogens.

No light "spray" and the pattern stayed the same. Just a lot more bright white light.

The distance from the reflector is the key here........

With that being said.....I'm a fan of the PIAA Xtreme White Plus bulbs. More light, whiter light, plug and play. Just shop for a deal as these can be had for around 50% of the PIAA Website prices. Might run you $150 if you do the low beams (9006), high beams (9005) and fog lights (9006).
