Disable locks on 2004 Avalon

I disabled the automatic locks on my car once before, but I have lost the directions. I changed the battery and now I cannot get the locks disabled again. I haven't seen any directions just for the 2004. I tried the directions for the 2001 and they did not work. Can anyone please help me?

I found this while searching:

Put key in ignition, turn to on position. Open driver's door and remove key (keep door open). Put key in and out 4 times (in/ out only without any turning of key) with the key out at the end. Hit drivers side unlock button 5 times. Wait at least ten seconds and shut the driver's door. Away you go.

Anyone know how to make the doors unlock when you shut a 2000 XLS off?
