Hello from nubie

Hi All,
Nubie here. I just found this site recently after bought a used hi-mileage gen 2. I didn't care the mileage, hey it's a Toyota. Kinda surprised that it has so many issue.
Decision made considering Toyota cars are always reliable, heck just 2nd time I drove it the engine check light shows his devilish glow.
I prefer DIY troubleshooting but lack of experience and I may have not enough time since this is my daily driver. Gotta to bring it 2 the shop. Sigh.....flying $$$

I haven't had a chance to look at d analyzer. They said MAF needs to be replaced. Agreed. They replace the MAF (looked like its very easy to do) and gone the light. Drive for another couple hours there the light comes back. Return to shop, got scanned and this time it said knocking sensor. The tiny stupid thing located under intake manifold which to replace that will need a helluva amount of labour time and they need to charge me this huuuuge amount.
