3500RPM on 70MPH in XLS V6

Hi All,
Recently I replace the spark plugs, fuel filter and the air filter of my 2000 Avalon XLS. Earlier I had the P0171 code saying mixture is too lean.

1) When I parked the car I can notice a little amount of liquid under the car. When I checked it its a clear liquid more like water. Is it normal for A/C (or anyother part) to drop some water on the ground after it has been stopped?
2) If spark plugs or fuel filter is not replace correctly would the engine light be on?
3) Will replacing the above 3 parts (incorrectly) cause speed to decrease while on cruise?
4) RPM goes up to 3500 when accelerating to 70mph. Is it normal?

Thanks in advance

Do you still have a PO171? That usually involves the MAF sensor or an intake air leak.
VCS and Check Engine Indicators

It was reset by the person who did the diagnostic before any of these repairs. I bought the car recently and the previous owner has installed platinum spark plugs instead of iridium ones.

I installed the parts yesterday and up to now the engine light is off.

Question 1. normal 2.Light would come on if plug wires not fully seated causing a misfire. Fuel filter on your car can only go on in one direction. 3.No 4. Depends on how much throttle you give it..gradual or pressed to the floor. A dirty MAF can impede performance and cause a rough idle.

thanks csaxon.
4) Its a gradual increase in speed.

Anyway I'm planning to drive about 1000 miles this coming weekend and just wanted to make sure that car won't breakdown. So if I'm correct if MAF needs replacing it would reduce my fuel efficiency, but car won't breakdown in the middle of the road, correct?

i had the same code with a fuel trim lean. mass airflow sensor was my issue. it is normal for water to be under the car after the ac has been on. this comes from the moisture take out of the air by the evap coil. there is a drain tube from the coil to under the car. same as what you may see in your home ac with the excess water getting drained from a tube into drain in the floor.
