USA OBD II Trouble Code 0447 '01 Avalon
Looking for some input from some wise Toyota sages re: OBD II Trouble Code 0447 that seems to be plaguing my '01 Avalon. Is this repair something that a do-it-yourselfer can handle? Any suggestions/guidance that you would care to give would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!!

that is an evap purge malfunction. sounds wicked, usually just a gas cap not on tight. could be a bad gas cap as well. there are a couple of plug in harness on the motor as well. i forgot to plug mine if and kept throwing the same code. no big deal. check the gas cap first, then have the code cleared at autozone for free or drive it for a week and it will go off.
