Automatic Climate Control

I just bought my 2002 Avalon XLS with 77,000 miles on it as a Certified Toyota. I've noticed that I'll put the AC on 74 and it just blasts me out. When I get home and the AC is on 74, it feels much warmer than my Avy, so I'm thinking the controls are wacked. I have to put it up fairly warm, to like 83 to get it to calm down. Course I could do it manually, but that's no fun.

I have an 02 XLS that I bought about 1 month ago. Noticed the same thing. I run the temp between 78-80 as anything lower is too cold for me. Would be interesting to see others reply.

I have the same issue with my 00 xls. I just keep it set at 80. Also, it strikes me as odd that the rear seat vents don't have the option to close, only to direct the air flow, so people back there are the first to chill out.
