supra engine in an avalon

Can this be done?

I have an 01 avalon xl and i was just curious to see if this could work...I know that i would have to change and mod almost everything mechanical and electrical about the car and i am willing to put out the money. I was thinking the latest generation supra from 93-98 engine.

That engine is a transverse mount from what you have. I don't think that will work in a front wheel drive format. I think you would be better off fitting it into an sc300 or sc400 or an is300. those are all rear wheel drive with an inline 6 like the 2jz motor. the 1mfze that you have is the same as a camry or es300. i know TRD makes a supercharger for the 1mfze motor, i would look at that. find someone to customize exhaust and put a piggy back cpu in it and tune it. I think it would make more sense, you would get great power and not spend a shit ton of money for something that won't work right. Or you could fit a squires turbo at the muffler, run the charge pipe up front and tune it from there. no one makes real perfomance parts for avalons. bastard child
