Lightbulb HeadLight replacement info needed

Hi All,

I'm planning on replacing the headlights (mainly low beam) of my 2000 Avalon XLS. I looked at this guide and it gave me the following details.
Quote:
2000 TOYOTA Avalon
Low beam headlamp
9006
9006SU Silverstar ULTRA for Ultra Night Vision - The Whitest and Brightest Halogen
9006ST Silverstar High Performance Lighting: The Whiter and Brighter Halogen
9006XV XtraVision Halogen - The Brighter Light
9006CB Cool Blue Halogen - The Whiter Light

High beam headlamp
9005
9005SU Silverstar ULTRA for Ultra Night Vision - The Whitest and Brightest Halogen
9005ST Silverstar High Performance Lighting: The Whiter and Brighter Halogen
9005XV XtraVision Halogen - The Brighter Light
9005CB Cool Blue Halogen - The Whiter Light
I would like to go for 9006SU and 9005SU, since the guide says it's the brightest one.
I would like to know
- How accurate are the above recommendations?
- When it says whitest and brightest, does that mean it will look like those bright lights they have in newer (08/09) models?
- or do they have those weird blue, green color to it?

Basically I would like to find
- a very bright (and maybe wide angle) light for my night time driving
- that I can replace my stock lights with (without any extra modifications or equipment)
- and street legal

Pls look at the below links too. ebay1, ebay2
at Autozone it's $50 for a pair of 9006SU

Any other suggetions are welcome
Thanks in advance.

- What does it mean by "blue-white light". Does this mean it has that weird blue color light (I'm not sure what they call it. but I'm talking about the kind of light that's in drag race/heavily custom mod cars)

Or is it just a decent looking bright light, so that I can see better at night.

Actually, I have to research these as they are "Nighthawk sport" compared to regular "nighthawks". I see a slight blue-tinted glass. I wonder what advantage this has over the clear glass nighthawks?

You can't compare these to HID = High intensity discharge lights. There are a few vendor's on the site that sell the kit with re-based bulbs to fit your application.

Yeah. That's what I'm wondering too. I have seen some cars with these blue-tint lights.
But I think they kind of blind the drivers of on coming traffic, also i don't want to be looked at like a 16 year old kid

seems like with HID you need a whole conversion kit. You can't just remove the stock bulb and add the new one.
