Struts and Springs - again :)

Hello All,

I am looking to replace all the struts on my GF's 2003 Avalon XLS. I will be going with Monroe Sensa-tracs as I get a 20% discount off at a local parts store.

My question is this.. the car has 87,000 miles on it... Are the Springs Shot? Should they be replaced at the same time? Or do I just buy a complete strut Assembly (Everything new - just bolt it in) ??

Thanks,
-Steve

Unless the chassis is sagging the springs are OK.

I don't think the chassis is sagging... car sits level....

So it sounds like I will just replace the struts. I will buy the mounts / boot kits just incase I need them so when I am swapping out the struts I have the parts if needed...

Worse case if I do need springs... everything will be new.. so easy to replace at that point.. just time consuming...

Thanks

JMO but is that 20% discount worth replacing the struts more frequently over purchasing struts like a KYB, which isn't that expensive, and not having to do it again for quite a while.
