Hard to Remove Ignition Key

My ignition key is getting harder and harder to remove after shutting the car off. Is there any preventative things I can do before it gets to where I can't pull it out? Now, I have to jiggle it fairly good to remove it.

I would try lock cylinder lubricant, its available at most auto parts stores. Most pf them come in a small tube filled with a graphite type substance.

The lock tumbler is going bad. Mine did that, had to replace the ignition lock. Cost of lock and new programmed keys was a couple hundred bucks!

Tumber is going out, let me guess, you have alot of key on the switch?

do you have a lot of weight on your keys as it will actually mess up your tumbler?
