Help!!

I was replacing the sway bar bushing for my 2000 avalon. Got one side done and then started the other and snap!! Broke the bolt that holds the bushing. These were on very tight and just started to loosen after I sprayed with penetrating grease. How do I get the bolt out now and can anyone tell me the correct size for a replacement

Yikes!....I did the exact same thing a couple of times before. My fix is tricky, and requires a welder. Find a small nut that will just fit over the end of stub of broken bolt. VERY carefully weld the center of the nut to the stub of bolt (DON,T WELD THE NUT TO THE CAR!). Let it cool a little, then spray it with penetrating oil. Carefully work the bolt back and forth and you should be able to unscrew it ( the heat from welding makes this much easier) To find a replacement bolt of the right size, just pull one of the bolts from the other side and match it up, or go to Toyota and have them look it up. GOOD LUCK!
