New to the forum but have enjoyed the wealth of information here. My 00 Avalon (155K) check engine light came on about 2 weeks ago.......had autozone get the code and it was a P0420 (if I recall correctly). Anyhow, they did not reset the code and I just noticed yesterday that the check engine light is no longer ON. Does this light go off after a while or does it go off if the problem no longer exists? Thx for any reply.
