Aftermarket In Dash GPS for an '03 Avalon

My CD player doesn't work, and I am looking to get an aftermarket In Dash GPS/CD Player like the Kenwood DNX6140 or the Pioneer AVIC-X910BT. I am just worried that I am going to buy something online that won't fit.

Has anyone been successful in hooking up a similar system in a Second Generation Avalon? Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Stay away from the Pioneer if at all possible. Stick with the Kenwood and you will be much happier. I put the DNX8120 in my 03 Avalon and I love it. The chasis fits without a problem. The only problem for me is the XLS wood trim, there is no fit kits except for black. The black panel in between the wood trim is a turn off. However, while listening to my tunes I don't think about it.

I've just installed Eclipse AVN6620 on my Avalon 2000 XLS. Budabear was right, only black trim kit for XLS, so I used a burlwood vinyl on ebay to put on top of that double din kit. The burlwood vinyl looked a little darker than the original wood trim though

The look of an aftermarket kit has been my biggest concern, but that doesn't look that bad. I might start looking in to some units once my car gets out of the shop.

Budabear, where are you running the iPod/AV cables to? In to the arm rest storage box?

Just to update the concern of the black install kit. I purchased another vent from ebay in the regular black trim. It was used and the wreckers that was selling it accepted my offer of $10.50. I put it in my car yesterday and now the car looks a lot more natural with all black showing from the radio on up. I will post pics when I get a chance. These used vents can be found on eBay fairly easily. Even if you had to pay $20-$30 for the vent your car would look so much better!
