02 Avalon no crank after timing belt change

Newbe here, I took my 02 Avalon to a local shop for a timing belt change, car has 110k, we bought it new. They should have completed the job and called me but I hadn't heard from them so I called them. The guy tells me that the engine won't crank. He thinks the security system must have reset and they need to get ahold of Toyota to get a code to fix the problem. I told him that my car does not have a security system just a remote lock/unlock. This revelation seemed to take him by suprise. I ask him if he had disconnected/ reconnected the battery to reset the system he said he had not. he made mention that the remote would unlock the doors but would not lock them. Has any one run into this problem. The car was running fine when I took it in. The timing belt was preventive only.

All is well, I went to talk to mechanic about my no crank issue. He had gotten my car confused with another Toyota when I had called. My Avalon now has a new timing belt, water pump, tires, cabin air filter and is running very well. I'm hopeing to get another 70 k out of it without problems.

Good thing he's not a surgeon. Go in with an ingrown toenail and leave without your appendix. Oops, wrong patient!
