I'd like to try to avoid patronizing the dealer if at all possible while procuring this part. A couple of the other posts about charcoal canisters and VSC switches and the associated trouble codes list a source, but all that brings up is a part for the Tundra? Did Toyota use the same part across 01 Camry/Tundra/Avy for the charcoal canister? Any ideas where to get one?

Can't comment on your first two questions, the third is yes. I got mine OEM from trdparts.com for an '02 Avalon. New canister with both switching valves, new hoses, electrical, etc. for a little over 200.
