USA Calipers

At 69K I needed to replace the left caliper, rotor, and brake pad. At 78K miles I needed to replace the left caliper, rotor, and brake pad. At 96K, I am told I need to replace the left caliper, rotor, brake pad, flush the brake system, replace the brake lines that may be collapsing and the source of the problem. I am by no way a mechanic and wonder if any of this sounds "reasonable" to any of you? Thank you, Bob

One caliper keeps dying.. it could easily be a bad hose - do some reading - Google: "collapsed brake hose"
Toyota wants over $50@ for each of the hoses,
but Rock Auto has aftermarket for between $11 and $23 each.
Check prices at parts store in your area.
Also saw steel braided hoses on Ebay at aorund $65 set of 4.
..... But then why change all 4, when only one is dead?
If logic is: One failed, others not far behind, by same logic, you should change all 4 calipers too.

Rick, thanks for your response. I went ahead and did what you suggested and replaced all brake hoses. I am certain that this was the original problem that was responsible for the recurrence. Bob
