2nd Generation Replace 2001 avalon xls v6 radiator

The top plastic connection of the radiator of a 2001 Avalon cracked and broke off under the hose clamp. I plan to replace radiator, it appears from my reading there may be transmission and engine coolant lines to radiator. Is there any advice on radiator replacement or is it straight forward? I have replaced Toyota Corolla radiator in past very basic all metal construction.

Thanks

Pretty straight forward for anyone replacing. Disconnect A/T lines and upper/lower hoses as well as some electrical connections and pull straight up. Take off 2 fans, reinstall on new radiator and reverse process.

I'd suggest that you closely check the threads on the radiator where the pipes connect to the transmission cooler. I had a replacement radiator that had an extra bit of thread material which prevented a solid connection. A read PITA.
