2004 XL..2 issues

There is a strong smell of gasoline when I first start the car. It is not garaged. I've had the dealer check twice and they can find nothing...I maintain the car very well, has anyone had this issue? 65,000 miles, bought it in Nov. 2003.

The other problem is that the black plastic frame around the back passenger side window is wearing out, but is the only one that is showing any signs of wear.....any thoughts about that one?

Any suggestions or thoughts would be appreciated.
