AC only blowing cold on passener side, help!

Any responses appreciated. I have a 2003 Avalon XL with the dual climate control. It was blowing not very cold on both sides so I went on got a can of R134 12oz and emptied it into the low port side. Now the passenger AC blows cold but the drivers side is still blowing warm like it was before. Yes I have both sides on the "cold" setting.

Do I need to recharge both sides somehow, or is this a malfunction of some sort in my system? Are there 2, low port openings?

I wouldn't even care to fix it, living in Kansas City the summers aren't too bad but we have a 7 month old baby who might appreciate some air! Thanks for any advice you guys have.

This is the first problem I've had with my Avalon in 2.5 years!

Hi you mentioned you have dual climate control, if so the vent control is operated by servo motors that open and close the vents. One of these may be bad causing your problem. You may need to take it to your local dealer for repair of diagnosis. You can check this yourself by having a second person operate the ac controls and checking the operation of the servo motors on the a/c unit inside the car.Hope this helps.
