Painted housing on 2003 Avalon...

I want to know what you guys think...? the process took 3 hours :/

BEFORE:

Sanding it down, putting tape over the unwanted paint areas

Finish.

thinking about adding black line across the bumper in that little gap right near the top of the lincense plate...dunno how to explain it. the housing until it was installed INTO the car looked SOOO legit...but once i put it into the car i was like:...ehhhhh...lol, fail.

Also thinking about putting a magnaflow muffler...but i have a feeling it might sound too beefy for an avalon...i dont know if im asking in the right forum, though haha. no offense (im a 20 yr old girl) but most avalon owners are old white/asian grandpa/grandmas haha.

I don't get what you did with the housing? Which part did you paint? Not all people who drives Avalons are old people. If you're just going to add the magnaflow exhaust and not the full-catback exhaust(no one makes them for Avalon. There's no love for Avalon from companies) or going to larger piping, it won't sound that loud.

maybe that pic is better...? its the black in the housing. obviously i couldnt paint the other areas because itll dim the lights :p like i said before...raccoon?? haha

i want to put a muffler, to make it sound a little beefy-er. but while im at it i want to lower it first. not slam it, but maybe an inch or inch and a half (i live on a HUUUUGE slanted driveway and id scrape everywhere if i try to bring anything lowered lol).

I am researching lowering options too. I have found 2 kits (springs and shocks) and a few lowering springs. I will let you know what I end up with. I just got the car (my moms 2002 xls) a week ago and have already bought the wheels and tires. I went with 18" MRR Hr3 (discontinued wheels, but I found a new set for sale). I bought Kumho LX Platinum tires in 225 45 18 to fit to them. I will be posting pics once I have it all fitted.

Good luck with your Avalon.

if you saw the ebay lowering springs, DO NOT GET IT. i got it. BAAD mistake on my part. its still in the garage. its like 1/4 of the size any normal springs should be. they SAY its good and ok to put on, but i wouldnt trust it. but, if you want it i can sell it to you lol.
