2000 avalon feels like its gonna stall?

Hi I have 2000 xls with 59,000 miles I noticed every once in a while when coming to a stop the car starts shaking a little a feels like its going to stall? Any idea why this would be happening and how it can be fixed? Would this be the idle air control valve need replacing?

Having the mechanic look at your torque converter.

I had this happen with a GM car many moons ago...Never bought a GM since

I would start with simple stiuff like checking vacume lines for a leak. Have you noticed any drop in gas mileage? Maybe even run a code reader at Autozone or Advanced and see if any sensors are throwing codes. When you do find the problem please be sure to let us know what it was.
