is anybody running a hitch on their Avalon? I am going to install one so I can take a jet ski along with us when go camping. (have truck for camper) Ski only weighs about 800 pounds so I anot real concerned about it, just wondering if anybody else has a hitch on and if so what kind and how bad was instal?

Yeah. I have one. I bought it on-line and installed it myself (something like hitch4less.com.)

I fits nice, but was a 2 person job as the muffler hanger has to be removed to get it on. Also, the driver side frame holes had to be tapped. The holes were drilled at the factory, just not threaded.

You may know the towing capacity of the car is rated at 2000 lbs.

I also put on another transmission fluid cooler since I towed a supply of flooring a few hundred miles.
