BEST 2G Year for Avalon?

What might be the BEST 2G model year meaning:

reliability
no recalls or "fixes"
durability
dependability
gas mileage
power:weight
multi speed transmission more than 4-speed.

Thank you and I apologize if I've overlooked any metrics.

You may want to reseach a bit on sludging. On my 2000 Avy, I got a letter extending the warranty as a result of sludging complaints but never got anything on my 2002 Sienna. Both have the 3.0L VVTi engine. I thought I recalled reading somewhere that they made a small change in '01 or '02 to help prevent sludging. Not that I'm worried....the Avy's going on 10 years old. Runs like a dream. Great cars.

In general, cars have more problems in the first year after a new design, and reliability improves as the problems are identified and resolved in later years.
