2nd Generation Better handling - Springs & "Shocks"

I know that my 2000 needs new struts in front.
Thinking that I want to upgrade handling of the car, which is set for comfort, and general wallowing. Don't get me wrong, love the car, but, would like it to respond better.
Anyone know whether a handling package of any sort was available from Toyota for the 2nd generation machines?
If not, anyone know if higher rate springs are available --- from Camry or Solara perhaps??
Thanks in Advance

As has been posted in other forums, try googling, switch your sway bar bushings to polyurethane. DIY, or when you change struts.

I'm new here and looking to lower my car too. I would like to see how the tn community responds to this post. I don't mean to hijack the post, but I am interested to see any pics of a 2gen Avalon that's been lowered by a method other than air bags. Does the ride quality suffer?

Because, friend, the Avalon is VIP.

Drop 1.5 or 2 inches, and give her the big wheels she really wants for Christmas.

What method did you choose? Brand? How much did it lower? Can you post a couple of pics?

2nd Generation

I have found that Vogtland and Tokico offer spring/shock combos.

http://www.vogtlandsuspension.com/p4...duct_info.html

http://www.rsaperformance.com/tokico...04-avalon.html

Has anyone on this forum tried either set? I am wondering how much the Tokico kit lowers the car (the Vogtland is 1.8"). If so, please post your experiences. Thanks
