my radio stays on after i remove the key

everytime i shut off the engine and remove the key my radio stays on. i have a factory head unit and i have disconected the amp in the trunk. i have to manually push the power knob to turnthe radio off. if anyone know a solution to this problem please respond.

does it not go off after you open the drivers door? most newer cars the radio and power windows will work untill the drivers door is opened?

It's not a problem, it's a feature. It can probably be reprogrammed by the dealer, but for many that's a desirable feature.

My Previa lets me run the power windows for a short while after removing the key, unless I open the driver door. Handy.

even after i open the door the radio stays on. i know what you are talking about with the power delay after i remove the key, but as soon as i open the door it deactivates but the radio stays on
