Instrument panel problem

so, one day all my gauges went out. along with the compass part of the instrument panel. the strange thing is that to the left of the compass part, you kno the seperate box that has lights for seat belts not being fastened, vsc and ect..that portion still works. i have no clue wats wrong, took it to several dealers and they cant figure it out either because it gives no error msg wen hooked up to the machine. so i finally took it to toyota, and still they cldnt find wat was wrong, and said they would need to take apart the dashboard in order to get back there and see whats wrong. so i have 2 questions, its gon cost me over 400$ just for them to take apart the dash, so id rather do that myself then let them take a look. so does anyone know how?? also, has anyone experienced this, and kno what it could possibly be and what i could do to fix it. HELP PLEASE, i cant see how fast im going or how much gas i have lol.

did you check the fuses?(check gauge fuse)
i had same problem with my car but all the electrical system was not working.
check your alternator as well.
turn the car on,turn off all electrical system (such as AC,...) and remove
the +ve cable of your battery.your car should stay ON,otherwise your alternator is not working properly.
