Hi,
I want to change my Day Time Running Light from "Yellow" (regular bulb) to white LED bulb. Is it legal or illegal in California ? Thanks

I don't think you'll have a problem. When I lived and worked in CA for over 20 years, I know that the tricky colors for anything was RED, BLUE, and AMBER. It was because these three colors represented emergency service vehicles. As far as going from amber to white, I'd ask a Police officer, but I am pretty sure you'll be fine. Just as long as they are not to bright, CA is funny about that too.

Good Luck

Based on what the California Vehicular Code says about it, they appear legal to me:

I didn't know amber was illegal? I thought it was just red and blue for emergency vehicle or cop?
