I don't want to damage them. How do you install new front brake caliper pin boots? I tried a socket and rubber mallet but the metal seat won't budge. Last edited by TrailDust; 09-25-2010 at 01:22 PM. Since you're using the socket to take and spread the force, use a regular hammer. Also, make sure the place it's going into is clean.
