Modding a 2nd Gen Avalon

Hi everyone.

I am interested in putting a short air intake in my car. I was told that for the avalon the solara or the V6 camry would fit nicely. Does anyone know if the 99-01 solara intake would fit on the avalon?

This is the one im interested in buying:

The ebay add says 4cyl 2.2 engine only. You have 6 cyl 3.0.

I replaced the old filter with K&M but the cel came on. I'm sure replacing it with a short intake will force it on as well. What do you think?

There can be any number of reasons a CEL can come one (including over-oiling a K&N filter). You may be jumping to conclusions.

I believe its change in the air/fuel ratio. The ecu should detect this, if it's running too lean. I've only had the cel came on once after that when the O2 sensor died. I'm just saying, let me know. The electronics on these things are sensitive.
