anyone with bench seat up front? need input

I am trying to see if Avalon with bench seat up front will do the job.
My 04 Sienna was totaled couple months ago and not ready to spend too much on new van so trying to see if this route is possible.

need 6 seats for the family (weekend most of the time, otherwise, just 1 person communter)

How good is the Avalon bench seat. Here is what I am thinking, 3 adults up front (for 3 people, we are not big in size, ~130lb-~150lb 5'9") Our 2 and 6 years old will be on the back seat (booster, carseat) + 1 adult.

any other full size sedan that have bench seat? thanks

wikipedia says the center passenger seat area is tight for an adult.

I have one and would hate to ride all day as the middle front passenger. The console is too low and the hump too high for comfortable riding. It can be done, but it's a squeeze. Oh, and you won't be able to use your rearview mirror if there's a person next to you.

Sorry to be a negative Nelly, but that's how I feel about the bench seat.
