Hi I am new here...01 Avalon Suspension

I have an 01 Avalon XLS with a very very tired suspension. 228k on it..the original suspension was replaced but I don't know when. Upper strut bearing plates are clunky and the shock boots and rebound is ridiculous-so I have been researching replacement struts front and rear and upper mounts.

Can I use the 01 Camry V6 units front and rear?
For instance I found these:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...K%3AMEWAX%3AIT

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...K%3AMEWAX%3AIT

Any other options that I could onsider besides getting all the parts individually from RockAuto. I apologize if this has been asked and answer before but my search didn't reveal anything helpful.

I am really looking for a "complete" set of front and rear struts. Anyone share where to get these?

When I did my '03, I found all the parts I needed on Amazon. It was a secondary seller, but they were the least expensive. I bought all four struts and mounts.

Now, understand this; searching through the Amazon site for the correct parts got me nowhere. They kept coming up with the Monroe brand, and I wanted the KYB's. So what I did was find the part numbers of the ones I wanted online (by searching OEM sites, other sellers etc.) and then put the part number into the Amazon search engine. Not only did they sell the right struts and mounts, but they had a complete set of all four struts bundled in a package deal for my car. That saved me some, and then I only had to buy the mounts individually.

I can't tell you if the Camry and Avalon share the same supension, but my Haynes manual was written for both cars, and they do share much the same parts.

Hope that helps.

Oh, one more thing. My struts and mounts came to about $400. Not bad at all.

Thanks Buchaja-I am hoping to find a complete package deal like the camry ones I posted above. They come with the mounts, struts and bearings.

Oh, I see. Sorry. Here's a link to the cars the Monroe's fit at Amazon:

It looks like the Camry and Avalon do share the same assembly.
