2nd Generation Leather Dye or Coloring

Ok, I purchased a 2001 Avalon and the steering wheel and shift gear handle are in good condition other than the color has worn off. I was thinking about installing a WheelSkin as I've used them and they are really great. But the leather is really okay, it is just ugly.

Has anyone ever used a coloring product to re-color your steering wheel, gear shift handle or even to touch up the color on your seats? I've seen a few products such as
that look pretty impressive. And there seems to be many different purveyors of leather coloring products. So I'd like to hear from someone that has already done this.

Anyone out there address these trim problems?

I refinished my steering wheel with SEM Classic Coat. Turned out good, just doesn't have that leather feel anymore.

Almost an exact match.

Compared to my '98 Avalon with a WheelSkin cover, the original leather wheel doesn't really feel like leather either! So how hard was the SEM to apply. The pic looks great, did you remove the wheel. How long ago did you do it? How long do you think it will last?
