gonna drop $9777 for 03 avalon xl leather with 35k miles?

Hey fellas,

Been looking for a car for my mom for awhile now and it seems this is a decent price. I tried talking him to drop down to $9,000 but he won't budge. i guess this is it, so tomorrow i'm gonna test drive it and then afterwards pay for it. it'll probably be $10,500 after taxes cash.

Just wanted some input as to what to look for. i know carfax, it has a clean history clean title and 1 owner, any few pointers would be awesome before i seal the deal.

thanks again everyone and all this car hunting is giving me a headache. i've been searching for 2 months now. this is the best deal i could find for a 2000-2004 model.

peace

Congratulations on the find, yenracer.

My 03 is approaching 35k miles and just FYI I have needed to replace the struts after all city driving (tires too). I am told I need a timing belt, and am going to do the transaxle fluid soon and flush the radiator for the second time. I probably could use a tune up as well, but that's about it. I love my Avalon.

Great car, and it sounds like a good deal to me too

freaking retarded, i called the dude and he said yeah yeah clean title clean car... and then when i was at lunch break, i was gonna see it and called to see if it was still there and the receptionist said that is a salvage title you still coming to take a look at it and then i just hung up. what a waste of time.

that's great you like your avalon. they are hard to find for the right price.

Sorry for your misfortune. I got one of those dealership mailings the other day saying my car was worth between 5 and 6 thousand. Yeah, right!

I prefer my 85 prelude si any day. Twice the mileage, 1% of the problems.

yeah, after a 2 months of hard search, i couldnt find a good used avalon so i decided to buy a 2011 accord based model. i got raped on the deal...$21,700 out the door but my mom needed a car because she babysits. just to see the smile on her face was well worth it. i was looking for 20,500 OTD. anyways, can anyone recommend me a good forum for hondas. this site is the best for toyotas...hands down.

i've always been a toyota but decided to give honda a try. i notice hondas rpm usually higher than camry. accelerating to 40 the rpm went past 3k and camry less than 3k. hondas drive more stiff and sharp turn whereas the camry bouncy but a smoother ride.

thanks TN
