I noticed recently the reverse lights on my car weren't coming on. My local mechanic says the "Safety Neutral Switch" needs to be replaced. I tried at the Toyota dealership here but they do not have this part in stock.

Has anyone else heard of this problem before? Any ideas on what a fair price on this part is? I've googled it a little bit and it seems like the part costs in upwards of $200. That seems like a lot to fix the reverse lights.
