2nd Generation Horn honks continuous after changing battery

Help ! The battery in our 2000 Avalon wouldn't hold a charge any longer so I called the local Firestone dealer and he said he had a group 24 battery in stock, so I went and picked it up. I put in in the tray, hooked up the positive lead, and then started putting on the negative lead.................. the horn started honking right away. I pulled it back off and it instantly occured to me he had given me a group 24 when it should have been a group 24F with posts at opposite corners. So I had put the positive lead on the ground post, and then when I touched the ground lead to the other post on the battery (which was actually positive) the horn went off as a warning I assume.
I called the store and then went back for the proper battery. After I installed it, as soon as I put the key in the ignition the horn started honking again. So I took the negative lead off the negative post and here I sit wondering why. I'm thinking something must have to be reset.
Please help if you can??????????????????

Next,I pulled the horn fuse, reconnected the ground lead, and tried to start the vehicle, but it does nothing, no ckick or anything. The lights are bright if I flast them. I took the ground back off for now. Waiting higher skill level. May have to tow it somewhere. I also tired pushing the panic botton on the remote to see if that would silence the horn, no luck.

Sounds like your alarm/security system is malfunctioning or, just needs to be reset. Hook up the battery as normal, let it honk then push unlock on your fob.

Thanks for the interest. I had tired that first thing. Then pulled the horn fuse while I tried to restart it; but that was before I noticed the 120 amp fuse was blown.
I was finally able to replace the fuse but it's quite a tricky job. The horn honking must be a warning that the fuse is out. Anyway all is well and I feel lucky not to had fried the computer or anything else.

Now my wife tells me the radio doesn't work, so guess I have one more fuse to replace. Hoping nothing else shows up.
