Check engine light

Its been a bad week for me and my 2001 Toyota Avalon , I got a bottle of fuel injector cleaner and dumped it into the gas tank. Within one mile my check engine light goes on. Unreal.Wonder if after a couple of full tanks of gas it will go off?

It might. Either wait; or stop at an auto parts store and get the codes read, then post them back here.

Could be from the way the gas cap went back on.
"Redsoxer" in NY? How'd that come about?

Replaced the gas tank cap within the last year. I was born and raised in West Newton Mass.

Is it still on? Did you put the injector in when you were filling up? Perhaps the gas cap was not on tight.
