Question Avalon 2001 HID Kit Low Beam DRL

I am thinking of upgrading my light to HID but I heard that the Day Running Light and High Beam use a single bulb. Do I need a relay or something for it to work ?
Thanks

I am confused. You are asking what is needs for the DRL/hi beams, or the low beams? I am interested too, but I'd like to keep all factory functions (ie auto on/off, DRL, etc)

DO NOT put HID in high beams. the DRL gives a low power to the bulb, which means the HID in the high beams will flicker and damage the bulb. You can remove the DRL fuse though. HID in high beams is only worth it if you live in country are, not recommended for city. I have HID in my Lows and Fog, none for my high beams.

I Highly recommend to do an retro fit. Putting projectors in. projectors are the glass orb-like head lamp that newer cars use. The projectors focus the HID light correctly and regular headlamp(what we have) scatters the light in every direction which blinds incoming drivers.
I recommend these: http://www.theretrofitsource.com/pro...oducts_id=3181

Long use of HID in Halogen headlamp will result in this: http://img576.imageshack.us/img576/8564/img6027q.jpg
